  6. Gcat is a fairly simplistic disk catalogger, providing quick & easy
  7. building of sorted catalogs, either alphabetic or by disk name.  Capable of
  8. catalogging up to 5,000 filenames per list, subject to memory availability.
  9. (This maximum would use about 500K of fast ram).
  10.  
  11. While this catalogger does not provide certain features such as exclusion
  12. filtering, or avoidance of duplicate entries, it does provide a nice, easy
  13. utility.

  15. Vn45 is an upgrade in which the "sort by disk" (at last!) shows files on
  16. each disk alphabetically: a 2-key sort. (Version 44 finally (?) conquered
  17. the scroll bug which depended on screen size.)
